Part 2. How Does Obscurify Spotify Work

You can easily get your Obscurify rating in simply 2 steps:

Step 1. Visit the Obscurify website and click Login.

Step 2. Click Agree to allow Spotify connection.

Then, Obscurify will catch your listening history and analyze your music taste with its algorithm. Your Top Genres

Obscurify first displays your top 10 music genres directly. If you click the specific genre, it will show you the 3 top artists under this genre. Obscurity Rating

This is a unique feature on Obscurify Spotify. Obscurify will give you a percentage of how obscure your songs are among users in a certain country. If you get 80%, it means your music taste is more obscure than 80% of users in your country. Your Most Obscure

In this section, Obscurify Spotify will display the 5 most obscure artists and songs in your listening history. These tracks and artists gain less popularity compared to others in your listening history.

Current/All Top Artists/Songs

This is a collection of your top artists and songs during the current time or all time. The current time period displays your top 50 songs and artists in the last 6 weeks, while the all-time period analyzes your data of the whole listening history. You can compare your tops in the two periods and check whether your taste changes.

Your Moods

As Spotify classifies and measures your mood through features of your songs, including happiness, danceability, energy, and acousticness, Obscurify allows you to compare your music taste with the average of other users from the four aspects.

By the Decades

Recommendations
